The Team: What we do
As a Causal Health Care Assistant, you will be asked to work at short notice to cover periods of sick leave, annual leave and unplanned leave. You may also be asked to work when our hospital is nearing capacity. There are no set or guaranteed hours.
The role of a Health Care Assistant varies from day to day and is varied depending the requirements of the unit but ultimately you will be there to work in collaboration with the nursing teams to make sure that the ward is running smoothly and to its highest potential; in both Aged Residential Care and the medical acute area.
This could mean preforming a variety of tasks such as:
