Assistant Manager (2IC)

We are looking for someone who is excited about on farm technology as our farm is set to become a halter farm where cows are virtually fenced and moved around the farm with collars.
We require a person who is passionate and motivated towards the dairy industry with at least 3 years experience wanting to step up to join our team as a Shed Manager / 2IC .
The job entails the applicant to manage the day to day running along side and in absent of owner of a 40 aside herringbone cowshed milking 500 cows with a farm assistant.
The job also requires the applicant to do general farm duties including but not limited to feeding out with modern machinery, spraying weeds, fencing, water supply, effluent and working on our runoff with young stock, silage and winter grazing.
Halter is being installed on farm so the successful applicant needs to be confident with and adapt to new technology .
We also encourage on and off farm training and education with this position.
There is the opportunity to start the position from mid March onward or on the 1st of June 22
This position requires the applicant to hold a current full NZ drivers license, under go pre employment drug testing and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
