Right now, we have an administrative
opportunity here in Timaru for a fast-mover who loves a job with lots of
variety. If you’re looking for a new challenge that will put your organisation
and people skills to work, this is it.
As our Front of Hospital team provide a 24-hour /
seven day a week service, there is a requirement to work a variety of rostered
shifts. Ideally, you will rise up to the challenge of having to work differing
hours each week and have the ability
on occasion to work up to full time to cover planned and unplanned leave. Each
shift type has its own demands and also rewards.
Across different rostered shifts, you will be one of
our emergency receptionists and telephonists. Where one day could see you
answering incoming calls and dealing with queries, the next you could be
coordinating emergency response teams. Wherever you find yourself, you’ll be in
a busy role with a huge impact, so if you’re cool headed with a strong stomach
and a passion for helping others, you’ll thrive.
As the eyes and ears of the hospital, you’ll be a hugely valued member of the team – we’re after a quick decision-maker with a real sense of empathy and respect for others, who can handle even the tougher situations with ease.
We are looking for an empathetic self-starter with a
high degree of organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in
a busy and demanding environment. This includes coordinating emergency and
alarm procedures throughout the hospital alongside daily administration and
computer related duties.
You would be working with an enthusiastic bunch of
colleagues who take considerable pride in being part of a team that contributes
in some way toward helping those in the community who require medical
assistance. You will need to be able to deal with an incredibly diverse range
of people, staff, patients and their families - all of them needing your
assistance.
